What is love?

In today's world, the word "Love" doesn't mean a whole lot to anyone. People claim to love many things. You love pizza or you love chicken or you love this or you love that. Stop and think for a minute. Why do you love those things? You love pizza because it tastes good to you. You love your girlfriend/boyfriend because they are nice to you or because they like you. You "love" things for what they can do for you. Honestly, that is not what love is.

When God created everything He was thinking of you. He was thinking of what He could do for you. He knew that you would go through something or that you would mess up in some area and He was thinking of how He could help you through that. He loves you regardless of what you can do for him. Sometimes we lose sight of what love is and take the word for granted. All we have to do is remember that love is unconditional and that if you stop "loving" something when it stops benefitting you then you never really loved it.
